As long as a question or answer is legible, does it really matter??

It is not that I am not complaining about the standard but I thought if people wanted to know about the correct rules for the use of apostrophes or the meaning or an example of "litotes" or "alliteration" then they could ask by posting as usual?

Hmmm...and then you will get a lot of pontificating pedants giving their views and holding forth on the bad spelling and grammar that is so often pointed out on here .....just what we don't need .
I seethe every time I see someone point out the most innocent typo.I think some of them hike round the site actually looking for bad spelling so that they can gleefully get on their high horses.
I find a dictionary and my Oxford English Grammar quite sufficient ...Thank you .

Yes ..Indigo was very sweet and thanked me profusely !
That's the exact horse i had in mind Jno ..very difficult to get down from in some cases.
