When you feel down, how do you pull yourself out of it, it might help other people if you could share with them.
i'm a tetra c/4 spinal injury and i never feel sorry for myself or let other people. i tell them i'm exactly the same, just my arms and legs don't work.
It's the hand we been dealt, make the most of it.
Keep emailing miss ED you never know we might make a difference.

fair enough mrbb, though writing all in caps is considered shouting online, just so as you know.

I was not 'pooh-poohing' your idea, as such, just saying i didn't think the ed would go for it because it doesn't fit with the rest of the site, and i don't think its necessary to separate people that way.
i mean, i am not disabled, but i know people who are and i know of places that have various facilities etc, but i would likely rarely go into the topic, so by separating people, you would actually be cutting yourself off from potential information, that people may be able to impart in passing.
if she does put one in - great - its no odds to me whether its there or not, so don't think i was just being against it.

I'm sorry joko if you think i was being abusive please accept my apology.
All i'm trying to do is get people to help others. Able bodied people might want to know something about certain things.
Disabled might want to know about how some people exercise. Keep their spirits up. How to handle certain things. Ask advice on say electric scooters or wheelchairs, where the best book shop for blind persons are. what disabled amenities places have. and many many more.
A lot of disabled people pay over the odds for things, it's like a motorway services, the only one for miles around and you got to have it. So if someone can advise people, is that a bad thing?

I think this is a great idea. My mum (now deceased) was in a wheelchair after she had her leg amputated at the age of 80. She couldn't use the stairs to the bathroom when she visited us so we had to use a potty, not the most hygenic or private things in the world. I've since found out (too late) that we could have hired a type of indoor portaloo. It would have made a great deal of difference if there had been a catagory on here I could have posted this sort of question in. Good Luck in getting it mrbumblebee
