I do not know who he is, other than a very, helpful contributor to the AB site (normally in the "Quizzes & Puzzles" section), but please re-instate him immediately.

tut over posted again did you (he) ?
What happened to Sarumite? If I remember correctly he (among others) was incredably helpful when I did my first pub quiz. If he has been banned he should be brought back immediately. How odd.
You will find a lot of AB ers have been booted recently ED has tightened her belt..
Hi

Sarumite is a very valued user of this site and of Quizzes and Puzzles in particular. He was automatically suspended due to the number of posts that he made. His posts have been cleared now.

What you are saying, then, Mr, Mrs or Miss AB Editor, is that anybody who is "over-helpful" is automatically suspended?
What strange reasoning by you.
Surely you would be better off, and appreciated more, by aiming your attacks at the outright cheats who come out of the woodwork for help with quiz questions which they say they cannot answer, as soon as the quiz appears, and, in some instances, two or three months before the closing date for entries.
Why do you think it a problem if folk ask for help wi questions, why are they cheating? I doubt if many quizzes are set without the compiler accessing the internet so why should those taking part not use it too?
This is a question and answer site. Why on earth should users like Sarumite be banished to the AB black hole because they happen to know more answers than most? That's almost punishing him for being a bright spark. As well as for providing answers on a question and answer site which rather defeats the purpose surely?

But far be it from me to be a critic. I just thought it was an odd answer Ed.
this is a mystery, I don't quite follow what happened here.
Not again !

Surely Q&P is a special case, where ( very clever ) solvers ( like Sarumite ) sometimes post multiple answers to multiple questions. I think what the AB editor is saying is they don't have control over the software they use!
the software is triggered to block anyone who overposts, in case they're spammers. I can't get too angsty about this myself. Even Sarumite could take a few seconds' break between answers, smell the coffee, deadhead a few flowers, compose a love poem etc. If it means someone has to wait a minute longer for the answer they want, well, what the heck.
I see the Ed has sorted this now...
