Just been lookin at some of the topics we were discussing and it has come to my attention that quite a few of them have been deleted.
Should we take more care in the sensitivity of the topics we are discussing or should we carry on saying what we think?

Am afraid not, the girl we posted about had made a post advertising herself and asking for our opinions. When we gave her opinions the AB editor deleted the question. We then launched a new thread about her but that was deleted as well. We launched one final thread about her but it was deleted soon after. Thats were the whole thing came from. If you like her though she has got an AB account.
There's saying what you think and then there's being downright rude just because you can hide behind the anonymnity of a computer screen.
?

I think if people had to use webcams on the site alot of the rudeness would stop
Question Author
Sorry Lion_Tamer but theres some things witch you have to be part of to understand. I'd refer you to a post but they've all been deleted.
i don't hide behind the anonymity of a computer screen and i still say what i want whether rude or not, i am not a very caring or pleasant person i guess.

I feel that you have the right to say what you think, if that is offensive to anybody then so what its my opinion witch i am entitled to. I draw the line at personaly attacking someone but if the situation requires handling properly, then handle the situation properly
Did you say what your previous username was crossroads?

And no sorry, gotta disagree. Sometimes, in life it's better to keep your opinions to yourself, especially if they will offend someone. I fail to see why a forum should be any different.

Question Author
Firstly, i have only ever had one username and that is the current one.
Secondly, I partly agree with you but its up to people what they think of you
um posts singling one user out are banned... and you mean which not witch (which old witch... the wicked witch etc)

Thanks for pointing out
What on earth has happened to good manners and courtesy?

It is not difficult to give a differing opinion in a strong way without being rude or personal.

I am as entitled to my opinion as anyone else but that does not give me the right to abuse or ridicule another person.

There is no need to either be offensive or defensive.

I understand your point but if a burgler walked into your house you wouldn't ask him if he wanted a cup of tea would you?
I hardly think disagreeing with someone in a civilised manner without resorting to name calling is comparable to offering a burglar, who's probably going to cave your skull in, a cup of tea- do you?
is there a bit of this thread missing?
Bit late, but just got in.....

Hear, hear Ethel!
