It was a trafalgar blue Moggy 1000 and I LOVED it. It was older than I was! It was a bit cold in the winter and had no wing mirrors, but downhill and backwind I could get 85 out of it. It didn't matter if I flattened the battery cos I just used to crank start it.

Amazingly, I could fit in a 4 berth frame tent and enough equipment to take two people camping for a fortnight.

It did once overheat on a big hill in Derbyshire, but I was rescued by the army so I can't say it was all bad.
a Triumph Herald 1360. (and yes, it was an old car then!)

I loved everything about it, except for the chassis which was falling apart :o(
I had a Hillman Minx........4446DN
a Rover Montego 2L 5 door saloon, excellent car!!
A Morris Minor with Flip out indicators

A datsun 180B SSS, loved it even if it did make me look like a pimp :)

it ended up parked neatly, upside-down in a ditch!
lol chuck...but neatly all the same!!
craft ! I had a Hillman Minx as well with the Gear change on the Steering Column and the Indicators would Pop out from the Door Frame. Can laugh about it now but it was quite a good car really. Passed my Test in it as well.
Practised driving on the Beach until I drove into Big Sand Pit and had to get local Farmer to Pull us out with his Tactor. lol

Yea sara, i almost bought one of those myself, took it out for a test drive and when i turned right the front turned right and the back end turned left, had a look underneath and saw that the chassis was that rotten that it had broken in two.
I pride myself on my neat parking in any situation :)

I had an old toyota corolla, I hated the fact I could see the road passing by beneath my feet...
redman the Hillman was like driving a bloody tank..................for weird gear changes you want to try the dash-mounted change on a 2CV6..........
