I think that would apply to all of us
hi daffy, i know, but some people totally forgot that i have a sarcastic sense of humour and also they totally forgot that whiffey was a master of the CT. lol
I thought you were 'doing a whiffey' and tried to say so,maybe I worded it slightly wrong though. ;-)
well I still think I should have been in with a shout...........I need gainful employment now that eon has increased my direct debits :-(
Hi Dot, Did you see your article? http://bit.ly/CsDW9

All the best,

Spare Ed
I wish I had the patience to research my family tree,i'd probably find some right loons though if the relatives still living are anything to go by!
I read dot's article and it was very well written and easy to understand.Well done dot.
oh noooo Dot, you mean you aren't really the evening Ed after all? I sooooo believed that
That's one well written article, Dot. I'm proud to say I recognised your genius the evening you posted a song in every single topic :) and this article confirms your talent. Well done.
no swedeheart, if I was a true genius i would have posted a Garth Brooks song on every single topic, but at least it means i am still holding onto that option, all my posts were reported once by someone that night, someone who missed the irony lol

Anyway, i imagine some people would assume the second part of my article would naturally be the records of Civil registration, however, they are so easy to access online now, and in a far simpler format than when i used to use them on microfilm 20 years ago, I am going to actually write a piece about other sources in the 20th century that can be used to make that leap back to the 1911/1901 census. I have started it, might get it finished over the weekend as i am off.,
