Neti I hadn't realised Facebook know what email addresses people have in their mail contacts. That actually explains a lot - thanks. Saddest FB status today amongst my contacts: "When will Facebook stop suggesting I write on my dead friends' walls?" I'm thinking of leaving FB but I wouldn't know much about anything if I did.

Well folks ,when you have to ring a taxi from Wilkinsons at the top of the High St to take you home on what is a basically a ten minute walk for a mobile person ,things are pretty bad :)
I got there Ok, I just couldn't walk back ,my hips are sooo painful , I was near to tears.Then I got told off by Mr. S for being a stubborn moo .I wanted some copper tape and he's no good at buying gardening stuff unless I write down precise details .If he can't see it immediately he comes back and tells me they haven't got it when I know they have :)

.I think I'm going to have to give in and go and see my GP .I can't keep on like this .If he's got a tablet then I'll l have to swallow me pride and take them .I just don't like these arthritis drugs much as they booger your insides up but needs must the devil drives .I can't cope with it anymore on a day to day basis .
Mind you rain is on the way ,perhaps once that comes down it'll ease off .

Nice to see you again Jude .I hope you're feeling better .I envy you the blackies .I have to shoo birds away now and don't feed them anymore :(.
That killer cat hides in the bushes and is like a rat up a drainpipe after the birds .

Oh dear Shaney. You must go back to your GP. You need to get yourself better and get that pain controlled. Once it is you may well pick up enough to leave those tablets off again at a later stage.

Watch your emails later. Our Broadband is playing up at the moment, it keeps going on and off. Grrrr.

hello all. sorry to hear about the aches and pains. Dh has been back to the doc and got different meds and some sense from the doc for a miracle. He now has a stomach settler that is gentle on the stomach but will take a few days to kick in and a short course of steroid for his gout, (triggered by prolonged no eating) as his usual gout meds are not helping his tum. he is grumbling which i take as a good sign.
Not being selfish but I am DESPERATE fir some tasty food, any food that is the least bit smelly eg a steak, anything fried or roast sets him off so I am living on cold food and bland stuff. I know I agreed for better for worse but not for food deprivation!!

Hi all. Shaney that sounds very painful. I would go to your GP pdq and get something for it.
I have to say I'm feeling a lot better and have had a good day. I went out at 11 to walk across Elvaston Castle grounds to a village called Borrowash and had my lunch in a new cafe that has just opened there. It's called Marmalade and Tea (I think). I went with my sister and we called to see our other sister and brother as they live over that way. then we walked all the way back. It took us an hour each way. Then I went to B&Q to get my compost and plants on 10% off day then to Sainsburys for a bit of shopping. And after all that my brother came down here and finished some painting he started last year around my front door. so I haven't had any time for anxiety to set it. LOL.
It is now raining a little which I am not complaining about.
I never sunbathe. I learnt my lesson when I was much younger than now because i just burn and don't tan at all.
I'm off out tomorrow on a trip into Nottinghamshire with my Sister and the ladies of a club she belongs to. If there is a spare seat on the bus they ask me if I want to go. I'm not sure where it is so I'll let you know next time if it is any good.
Finally, thank you for all your kind words of welcome back. I really do appreciate your friendship.

our drains are nearly laid - they cut trenches, filled them with shingle plus pipes to take the water to a tank (and then be pumped into the regular drain), then put the turf back on the top again; so a bit of rain will help the lawn heal over. On the other hand I don't actually like rain...

Jude, maybe they'll use the bagpipes to play A Scottish Soldier or Donald Where's Your Troosers. I had a Scottish friend and used to tease him about these being his national songs. He used to spit tacks at the mention of Andy Stewart's name.

The rain is welcome Jude, it was like a dust bowl out there....and the b'birds will be ecstatic tomorrow with all the worms. I just hope they're not up too bloomin early.

I feel a bit better now .I took three co codamal and had a sleep .
I think it's just one of these rheumatoid attacks which I get from time to time ,but I will go to the doctors I think as it's unbearable when it gets so painful .
