Books You Can't Quite Get Round To Reading

I have had the girl with the dragon tattoo on the "to read" pile since it was first published here, well before any of the hype of (last?) summer.

I still haven't read it. I just can't bring myself to. I don't know why particularly, many people who I trust recommend it.

What book do you seem to be completely unable to pick up and read?

I too have the Millennium Trilogy still to read. My excuse is that I saw the original Swedish films first (excellent) and therefore no longer have the same urge to read them. I have quite a few that I have bought but not yet got around to reading, others always seem to come along instead. But I am determined to read them one day, including these.

Thought the Millennium Trilogy was a bit slow to start with then I just couldn't put them down. Think I may return to them one day - read them so quickly the first time, I'm sure to have missed quite a lot.

Biographies of WWII German Generals always look attractive on the birthday list(I've had 54 of them!) you know Rommel,Model,Von Runstedt,Manstein etc..trouble is- I start them with great enthusiasm but haven't ever got to the end of one! Perhaps socks and ties are more practical?
