I've had a picture hanging on my wall for 35+ years bearing the name Harry Winkler. It measures approx 100cms wide x 35cms and depicts a Mediterranean style coastal scene with old stone type buildings, sea and a sailing boat. I would like to know if it is of any value, but how can I tell if it is an original painting or a print?

If it's a painting Harry Winkler works routinely only fetch into the few hundreds. As to telling if it's a print or a painting, check out the texture of it, in good light. You should be able to see texture and brushmarks if it's an original, if it's a print it will appear very uniform and bland.
