Inspired by a suggestion from Ann86.
Do you have any photos you've taken and would like to post here?
They could be from a basic 'point n shoot', a high falutin' DSLR or a scan from a pic taken on an old film camera or maybe just something you snapped on your phone.
Maybe you could give a short account of the circumstances eg. where/why it was taken, what memory/feeling it holds for you.

Here is a picture I took in Cancun Mexico last October.
I was walking along the beach and this Iguana ran out from under one of the sunbeds and rather frightened me (because I was not expecting him).
I crouched down and took the picture quickly before he ran off.
I am particulalry pleased with it because it fits the frame so well (it has not been cropped or editied). The shaodw of his face on the left, and the end of his tail on the right, are both in picture, which was fairly lucky as I had to take it so quickly.

Here is another from Cancum last year.
My wife went swimming with dolphins, and i was stuck well away from her in the public viewing gallery. Luckily I had a decent zoom on my camera.
Anyway I was not sure what to expect so saw these people line up in the water and got my camera ready, then all of a sudden these two dolphins leapt out the water.
Again I was pleased with the picutre as I managed to get both dolphins in the picture, when I did not really know what was going to happen.

>>>Did you visit Cozumel when you were there?
We stayed at a resort on the mainland right opposite Cozumel but we did not visit there.
We were only there a week, and apart from going to the Dolphin place once we did not go off site all week.
We were staying all inclusive at the Grand Palladium, and with "free" food and "free drink" we could not see much point of going off site. :-)

Did you venture down to Playa Del Carmen then? I only ask because I was in that area a few years ago, I too was restricted by cruise timings and the temptations of all day free buffets and help-yourself ice cream machines, but I (and my friends) had the wanderlust. The water around there was crystal clear and the sights were great. I tried to chase after a few iguanas and caught up with a whopper in an Inca ruin but backed off when I heard the immortal words "they can take your finger off!" I loved the pelicans and found out (back on the mainland) that they can be pretty tame.
I`m a bit of a computerphobe. I`ll have to have a look at the other thread Ann was talking about tinypic. Sometimes when someone puts a picture up on it though, there are all their other photos on there too (which they probably didn`t realise). Can you just post the one without any identifying details?
