Book In Japanese And Mandarin
2 Answers
I was doing some decluttering and came across a book in Japanese (with some Mandarin) about the Japanese occupation of Manchuria after 1931.
It clearly was designed for Japanese.
I can't read Japanese nor do I know anyone who does.
I know people who could decipher the Pinyin for me, but as this was a very painful period in Chinese history, I wouldn't ask.
It has lots of very interesting illustrations from that period, and must have been published after 1978, as one of the pages has a copy of the front page of a newspaper in Japanese.
I can recognise some of the streets and architecture, as I spent quite a lot of time in Liaoning (formerly Manchuria), but other than that, it is of no interest to me.
Who might be interested in it? There's no point in keeping something I can't understand.
Thanks
