The book is about a woman named Rumor. She was inlove with a man, when they were younger. He ended up marrying her sister. Rumor is a veternarion. (I can't spell) She lives near the shore. Her father lives with her. He has arthritis. Her sister and her former lover divorce and he moves back near Rumor.
