Does anyone have any recomendations for the above? I want a dictionary on my laptop without having to go online - something that I can perhaps dowload. Thanks.

i could send a copy of a Collins dictionary/thesaurus on CD?

One of this months computer magazines had a dictionary on its cover disc. Not sure which mag - could be one of the 'windows Xp' genre.

Thank you so much everyone, your help is appreciated. Thankfully, my friend just got me a CD rom. Don't know what one it is yet though! Hopefully it'll be ok.
