Supposedly 37

As Lelliej says above, 37. That's according to the Contents page of the 'Oxford Complete Shakespeare' apart from anywhere else. There are plays in which he may have collaborated with other writers and some he may have written, which have now been lost. But 37 is the number universally agreed among experts to be indisputably his.
When I say 'indisputably', I do not include the fact that every year or two someome else writes a so-called learn�d book intent on showing that Shakespeare didn't write any plays at all. If the true author - according to them - isn't Christopher Marlowe, it's some Duke of This or Duke of the Other!
