I’ve made a start on Stephen Fry’s ‘Mythos’ but the rest are sitting on the shelf awaiting my attention.

Would be very interested on your opinion of 'Mythos', Naomi, once you've read it. I've always been fascinated by the stories of Greek Myth and the fact that Stephen Fry is the author may well lend a different 'slant' to them. Hurry up and finish it :-)

I got
The Skin Nerd - Jennifer Rock, no interest whatsoever in that load of tripe, there is an inscription from the person that gave it to me - I've not read it as the day she gave it to me, I had drops in my eyes so she had to read it for me, I put it in a drawer since and hope I never see it again
I got a book of crosswords - lovely cover on it, all the answers at the back, I love the elderly lady that gave that to me but I wouldn't do crosswords from a puzzler book, I prefer the newspapers and magazines for books

I'll just stick to what i like over at the library :(

Ken, will do. I've read Stephen Fry's autobiographies. I like his style.

I would but she put little messages in the pages leading up to the 1st page, I ahd considered that and I even ran a charity fundraiser before Christmas so I'm not being selfish holding onto it, I am hoping to ask her one day if she wouldn't mind, could I give it to one of her young daughters, it would be more suitable for them, a keeping the skin fresh kind of book, I'm a bit long in the tooth for that now :) maybe had i been in my 20's or early 30's it would have been brilliant

I received a textbook on quantum field theory. I keep dipping into it - it is not a book to read from cover to cover.
I like your list, though naomi. I too like Stephen Fry's books.

a brilliant book by Jonas Jonasson called The Accidental further adventures of a 100 Year Old Man,
suggest you buy and read the first one first
which is the 100 Year Old man who climbed out the window and disappeared. Both excellent and often laugh out loud funny.

1ozzie - I rea)ly like the J O 5 ingredients book. The meals are deelish and doable.
My daughter gave me Death and Nightingales because we both loved the TV series so much. Not started on it yet though.

I got The Librarian by Salley Vickers. Enid Blyton for adults. Ploughed my way through it because a friend gave me it but would not recommend unless it's for a 12 year old.

Some are things I just stumbled on that looked intriguing. I've dipped into the first three.

I hadn't realised until fairly recently that you can borrow ten books at a time with Prime. Have lots downloaded, but recommendations are useful.
