Five Chimneys - A Woman's Survivors True Story Of Auschwitz.

Has anyone read this book and would they recommend it?

Any other non-fiction books on Auschwitz anyone can recommend? I'm going there in September.

Thanks in advance.

Damn, I posted on the wrong thread!
I don't know where you are but if there is a Jewish museum near toyou I would recommend you visit......and when you do go please take tissues...I have not been to Aushwitz but have visited another camp and was glad of them and a strong swig afterwards. I also needed them for the Jewish memorials in Budapest......keeps reminding me how horrid human beings often are.

We will be stopping near the Jewish Quarter in Krakow I think. I've been warned to take tissues by those I know who have been.

I haven't done Budapest yet, but that will come at a later date.
I haven't read it myself but 2 of my colleagues have been raving about a book called "The tattooist of Auschwitz"

Ah, I saw that one too! I do need to buy another book to get free delivery so maybe I should get that one, eh?
I don't know where you're based but if you're ever in Notts and you've an interest in the history of the Holocaust this is the place to go.

Not about Auschwitz, but I can recommend Treblinka, which I read many years ago...
