Recently, you recommended Heller's Catch 22 which was a coincidence as I had just started reading it!

I'm 4/5ths through it and I've never laughed so much with some of the exchanges between officers!

AgChristie you need a nice warm bath, a holiday and a change of scenery. Addiction is simply your brain trying to escape from your environment.

Don't go out with the friends, rekindle that comfort you found as a child. Spend the day in nature or with family
Do you listen to much music?

Do you have many outlets to be able to express yourself artistically or emotionally?
Hardly surprising with the sleep you get.

Spath, I would love a holiday and many other things but I don't have the money.

I have lost my mental health, job, self-respect and I am now on the brink of losing my home. My mum can't have me and that is where my friend(s) come in. I have now lost my meds so I need to sort that out quick.

I don't want any pity or sympathy, I am just explaining.

I do listen to some music but I don't like being inside and just want to lead a normal life but I don't know what normal is any more.

I'm exhausted but I dont sleep.I'm back out in 10mins so I must go.
Havnt read this thread, just saw it in latest posts but...
//Addiction is simply your brain trying to escape from your environment.//
Simply isn't true and is an over simplification of a complex subject.

Eyup Mozzzy! Well that went well - NOT!

Kept me waiting ages (as if I don't do enough hanging around!) and I kid you not (after the non-existent pleasantries),he said 'Right 'Britney' (!) let's get down to business shall we'! I said 'you have to pay me first ha!'

I think he thought we've got a right one 'ere! Anyway, he asked me if I was working at the minute and I said 'If I was I would be on the street wouldn't I'? I think he wanted to kick me to the kerb!
He rattled on about a loada stuff that went over me head quoting section this, section that (and I told him I'm not called 'this' or 'that') and that me mum already thinks I should be sectioned!
My mate who was sat with me just rolled her eyes at me (shes on some gear you see).Legal high for her but a legal low for moi!

All in all Mozzzy,I'm none the wiser but never was anyway so nothing lost. Its a catch 22!! Boom!!

What ya up to?

"Simply isn't true and is an over simplification of a complex subject."

Do you have any studies to prove otherwise?

Because I do..

Spath, I was offered a patch for one of my addictions but I told him I was happy working the area I do ;-)
Spath
//Do you have any studies to prove otherwise?//
No. I have personal experience instead!
Spath, Ive seen that vid before. I agree with what is said....but it really is more than that.
Just viewing one TED talk doesn't make you an expert in complex problems.
