I see England, I see France

Last week I saw an old episode of Moonlighting. the name of the episode was I see England, I see France, I see Maddie's netherworld. It immediately struck me as probably being a paraphrase, so I searched for that phrase barring the netherworld-part, and got tons of hits. I gather it's a 'teasing rhyme' (if that be the term) and that the last part of it would normally be I see (name)'s underpants. But even that sounds like a paraphrase to me, as if the origin was oh I don't know - a Churchill speech or something... "I see England, I see France, united in ..." etcetera. (Just fantasizing.)

Does anyone know anything about the origin - or if the rhyme is the origin.

Thanks in advance and for now, more personal thanks sometime next week.

Oooh well done Robinia ..that's a nice little windfall.
You'll be able to stock up on sdns ,handbags and plumes de ma tante toot sweet.
Jammy beggar, all I ever won was 20 on the Euromillions a couple of weeks ago. Did you all receive your cheques that I sent you, cos I am kind and share my winnings (ahem!)

Nice sunny day here now but really foggy when I got up and couldn't see an inch in front of yer face - most unusual. Have just had to put all the names and nos into Mr N's new mobile phone as he hasn't got a clue!!! but in exchange he's mended my sewing machine (which the shop charged us 50 for mending and didn't) so alls went on the neti front this fine day.

How's our jude hope she had a good time, but behaved herself. To be honest I'd have thought she's have settled down by now and taken up knitting or embroidery or somesuch by the fireside.
I don't think so ^ ^ ^

aye, shaney as we say, wor better than a poke in the eye wi' a sharp stick

Possums. Yes our Jude, will we ever see her again I wonder. There's was an article in the paper the other day about Emy Holmgren 104 years old who just moved back to her own apartment because she was too bored with the retirement home - probably a relative of yours, Jude? Hm, yes, Madam Kit thought she saw three major windfalls for you Robinia but now that you mention it I'm probably getting it mixed up with one of Shaney's wins (back when she bought us cookies and no one said thanks, ha ha.) But Elton John has a chteau doesn't he? (Ha ha ha ha aaahaahhaaa... let me breathe... you and Elton John, it's so funny!) As a matter of fact I am a bit psychic I am - or at least fascinated by the tarot cards and the way they seem to communicate directly with the prelingual, archetypal realms of the mind. <hits save button quickly before this fickle laptop closes down page all of its own accord as usual and wipes out elegant phrasing> I even did two whole evenings as a telephone tarot reader but that was just horrible horrible as I make no claim to being able to predict the future but that's all people want. / Loved your Cezanne, Robinia. Mister N has fixed the sewing machine, oh good - now Neti can finally make herself useful again. "Rivetting" - that piccy reminds me... no I'll tell you later, got to get down to business. (Such as having a shower.)
hahahahaha...rofl @ the 'multi tasking' Kit...I've printed that out to put inside my sister's birthday card....
I've got some tarot cards but they were bought for me & I think you should choose your own so they feel right

stop press...neti/muggy/cheeky is locked out of AB..
try this if you can see it neti but don't bother if you can't...

I know, tricky to get on AB these days innit.... Vinny, I never went near LSD - a friend of mine took some accidentally (someone spiked the drinks at a party) and she's still on medication 40 years later and has gone to run a pig farm (of course I don't know if that's one of the side-effects or not).

Is there still blood in the streets of CB? Don't know why they ever resurrected it, it definitely attracts lesser breeds
yep jno I wish they'd keep the noise down I can't hear myself swearing...
I've always been far too scared to touch drugs...knowing my luck they'd make me coherent & sensible.
Well beggar me, I made 2 posts thanking Robi and they have gone!
Can't seem to post anything. I'vealready"lost"2 posts thanking Robi.
