We have a print from an old fashioned 50's chocolate box cover thats framed & on our wall with the above title. It depicts rich victorian children playing on the reck (belly) of an old boat on the beach. on one end of the boat a tiny union jack is flying. We are dying to know who painted this as the picture was clipped and subsequently so was the artists signature. Can anyone help? Links to sights on the artist would be helpful. long shot i know.

How do you know the picture was clipped? Not all pictures are signed (particularly ones on chocolate boxes). Even if it was clipped I imagine that the only copy lies with the painter's family, they weren't done from exhibited pictures.
