My nephew is doing a post-uni theatre studies course. Can anyone suggest a book for him for christmas that would be relevant to this?

There are a number of encyclopedias or dictionaries of theatre published by Cambridge, Oxford etc - always useful reference and great to dip into. If something lighter's required, how about one of Ned Sherrin's collections of theatrical anecdotes? Or Peter Hall's diaries, which are superb?
