Alaska is not a country. It is one of the fifty states of the United States.
Alaska Time Zone is UTC-9, i.e. 9 hours after GMT.

Regions that are the last to begin each calendar day are situated in the UTC-12 time zone, such as Baker Island and Howland Island, both US territories and uninhabited atolls in the Pacific Ocean.

Inhabited regions in UTC-11 include American Samoa, Midway Atoll, Niue, Samoa and Tokelau.
