Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

She said she wont answer questions from da press unless the man asks her or something like that.

She called him in da early hours of 7 in da morning n basically said " hi its jane ....."

Yeah, I knew that already. Emerson ( I think that was his name) and someone from The Leaky Cauldron are interviewing JK. They started and just closed) a competition for make up some nice questions.

And I am a very happy person!!!!!!! My birthday is on the 18th of July and I live in Holland and I really want HP 6 for my birthday, but I was afraid that it wasn't on time in the Netherlands, but they already have HP 6 on July 16th. I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome birthday present ;-)

i think that it will most liley be hagrid. not much is revelaed about his mother or father. assuming that hagrids mother was Queen of the giants, that would make him prince. his father being a wizard, and his mother being a giant, would make him halfblood a.k.a. mudblood. henceforth, hagris would be the mudblood prince.

i believe that the hald blood prince is snape as i believe his involment in the plots has grown only stronger duringthe previous books i also believe that snape has another side to him

OMG! I just finished the book! I got it 10 hours before my book store actually sold it, and finished it it about that much time too. We were so off! But im not telling! Then the point of this answer is completely useless! But it's well worth the 10 hours read!

I finished it yesterday (I got it the 18th, my birthday) and while my friends, who get Hp & hbp on the 16th, their not even close with finishing it!! And I love it!!!!!!!!!! And I am not going to tell who the HBP is!!!

Did everyone else think that this new novel was a little bit of a bore? I mean, it would have been a lot better it everyone didn't already know that Dumbledore was going to die. But then again, this book was suppose to pave the road for the next book. It did answer a lot of questions and will certainly add much more purpose for finishing the last novel.

The Half Blooded Prince is Snape who kills Dumbledore and Snape uses Avada Kedarva on Dumbledore and Draco Malfoy helps him and they have the Death Eaters and they have cast the Dark Mark over the Astromony Tower and Hagrid gets eaten by Fluffy, aahh wat a very happy ending

I think he'll return at some point in the last book but it will not be for education. The more I turn itover in my mind, I think it will be to fight deatheaters who attack the school & students. I think the seeds are there, since OOTP was all about training several people who will all still be at Hogwarts in the coming year.

What is your line on this?

i believe dat hermione and rod would persuade  harry into joining them on  another year long experience at hogwarts. Sumthing tells me that its gonna be a long summer for harry as he dwells about how unfortunate and never ending spiral of death looms around around his presense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

has j k rowling started writing her last chapter of harry school life but i know its childish to think she has after taking into account on how long it takes, the dedication and not to mention the energy to write a book of dat brilliance.

last question, was it me or was dere sumfing lacking from the hbp?

hopefully the next book may go closer to 1000 pages lol just a thought

I really don't know... I think he will finish Hoghwarts, because everyone thinks he needs it. OK that sounds a bit weird but I don't know how to put it. I think Molly and Arthur and Remus and Minerva hopes Harry will go back to Hoghwarts and although Dumbledore is dead, it will be his wish that Harry finish his 7th year, well, I think he wants. And besides, Hoghwarts is still a very safe place.. And I agree with you about fighting against dead eathers. i think the final battle will be at Hoghwarts wish could be good for Harry, I mean, a game at Home is allways better then a game far away and I guess it's a bit the same with fighting. And I just hope he will be at Hoghwarts and there are 7 books, for each year at Hogwarts one so I think he will be at Hoghwarts, his 7th and final year. And by the way, is there a place were you can discuss this problem more in detail???

And my english sucks, I am aware of that!!

First, don't worry about you English; many people who I work with on a daily basis have a tough time with it.

You have good thoughts on possible storyline information for the last book. A battle at Hogwarts would be great! As for a place to discuss the topic more, there are many forums set up through HP websites. I think the best I have found so far are www.mugglenet.com and www.the-leaky-cauldron.org. These two sites are great.

OK, that sentence is really meesed up, because I kind of changed my mind halfway through (is that spelled correctly?? I don't think so....) the sentence so it came out very bad, but I hope I made my point clear.

Well, as for the initials R.A.B., many are pointing to this being Sirius' brother Regulas. If you recall in OOTP, there is a discussion about how V killed Regulas after he left the Deatheater ranks. As for the locket, one site pointed out the mention of a locket that couldn't be opened at 12 Grimauld Place when the OOTP was cleaning the place up. Re-read that part of OOTP and tell me what you think.
