(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Can't view your "ping" jno, nor Neti's knees.

So when are you gonna walk like an Egyptian for us, jno, this is a dance thread you know.

pharao dance

Morning all - sorry about my knees, they were there to start with, maybe it's just as well!! Can't see Jno's piccyeither.
That translation means better to live happily with a bit of a dirt, than in a sterile, cold house. So with dog piddles it's fine!
lots of dancing in the desert, most of it from Wilson, Keppel and Betty

Possums. Sunshiny day today and they're taking the scaffolding down from outside my window - thank god. Freedom restored.

Ha ha ha I've never seen that act jno; they must have been an inspiration to Groucho Marx or he to them. But tell us, did you "see wonderful things"?

The thing with that saying, Neti, is that "rent helvete" means two things, both "sheer hell" (which is a common expression here) and "clean hell". I suppose "pure" hell would be what comes closest, but something is lost in translation. But alright, okay, you'll get your Viking diploma - but we all know you're in it for the rig aren't you.

a'noon ballet danglers

<oooppphhh!!>

well help me up!....you don't think I chose that position do you??!!

'Why so glamourous today Robi?' I hear you ask

<rustle rustle> ..I'm still at "chignon"... YOU SAY HE'S RICH? Well that accounts for the attitude, then...

Sure would be nice with some go-to-hell-money. Do you say that? It means not having to kiss up to anybody.

Ha ha ha, yes it wasn't far from that! But look at how elegantly I sit! When I was a kid I had fantasies about being a wolf child... you know, having been reared by wolves.
Just flying through ...I am going to throw this machine though a hedge in a minute and you can lop it as much as you like Robinia ..in fact you can stamp on it !
Brightened up here now after a dismal morning .
I say.. do we have to wear ballgowns and tiaras in the evenings I don't want to appear underdressed
hey, steady on shaney, you'll be giving Vinny ideas
duck!
are you sure it's your machine & not this site?...it's sh1te!

oh sorry, don't you have chignons in Sweden then Kit?...stick with me kid, don't look on the weird words as obstacles but as an education...I just try to introduce a bit of variety
(unlike some out there <<< who are like bl00dy stuck records, but I digress)
allow me to pass you over to the professor who taught me everything I know :o)

Mornin' possums, Vinny what a nice birthday thread for B00 in Suggs and you beat everyone else to it too, he he. I can't view your first yo, the ImageChef one (so it says in the URL.) Perhaps it's just my puta but I wanted to tell you so you can check it out, in case it's something you've put a lot of effort into.

How cute is Neti's cake cat!

Possums I'm gonna share a secret with you: There's lots and lots of fun to be had with the image editor at photobucket.com. That's where I turned this into this, and this into this (with a little help from Paint). Also, their search facility lets me find more fun animations and avatar-like stuff than Google does. Oh and the image editor is where I glued your lips together yesterday, Robinia! <what have i done, there'll be no stopping her now>
Kit you have joined the clever ranks of Rob and Vin - she taught me once how to use paint, but I've forgotten.

Beautiful day here, daughter and hubby not arguing for once (at the mo!) sun shining and warm!!

shaney Am off next week to see Endocrine specialist, any idea what to expect re thyroid, is this one likely to leap up and grab any part of me??
Hi all, just got back in from walking the little darlings in a soaking wet muddy wood where it was persisting down....added to which last night was puppy training which is like going 10 rounds with Jackie Pallo so if nobody minds, I'll save the dancing till later.....

might change my mind if Alan asks
