Does anyone know of a detective story or thriller in which a husband keeps a diary or notebook detailing various plans for killing his wife, each of which he rejects as too risky, only to have the wife find the diary and kill him? The husband may have been a doctor...

I am sure that there was a short story read on Radio 4 a few months ago with a very similar plot, but I have no idea what it was called, or whether it's the one you are after!
