Writing an uplifting non fiction book, yet, need more material. If you know of any links to any positive snippets ( poems, quotes, true uplifting short stories or clean funny jokes/humorous tales) or recommend any books would be very appreciative to you :-) Many thanks in advance. Big hugs, Beatrice :-)

Have you tried the Secret?

http://thesecret.tv/

Is that the kind of thing you're after? It is also a book too. Can be purchased from all good retailers!
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Thanks, here is another..................

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you are the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Bless you greatly, each one of you fantastic individuals! Have lived/still living with a chronic mysterious neurological condition for over a decade- doctors or neurologists cannot work me out ;-) A few years ago was inspired by an Oprah Winfrey show- started keeping a gratitude journal then it developed into a happy scrapbook of uplifting images + words. Around 5 years ago started sharing some of these with penfriends who said they found them inspirational. 3 years ago my husband encouraged me to write a book based on my collection of positive snippets to encourage more people- particularly those with health challenges. Taking me a long long time to make this dream into a reality- not even ready to approach a publisher, yet, it is coming.....;-)!! Not easy with my scrambled brain yet love a challenge anyhow. Pretty determined to keep pursuing this dream until it will be a reality :-) Every online wonderful person, penfriend, email contact, friend, help from husband or family, or serendipitous moment helps me piece this jigsaw of a dream into a reality, too :-)
Take care everyone + thanks from the bottom of my heart ;-)
Hugs, Bea :-)
Hi there Bea

"Laugh and the world laughs with you "

Good luck with your book - you will have to let us know when it goes into print.
You do know that if you use any 'snippets' you find on the internet or any other source, you will need the copyright holders permission to publish them in a book?
Question Author
Thanks McTavish. Yes, Ethel, am aware of the whole copywrite issue. Have already asked a couple of authors for permission + awaiting an answer from someone else at the moment. Mostly using anonymous or copywrite free material anyhow for book. Some of the material is my own work, too ;-) !! McTavish- will let you know when book goes to print. Long way off that as much to do on it + not an easy task with my already scrambled brain yet it will happen in the right time + determined to make the dream a reality.
Here's a picture want to include in book- for you all to see, too :-) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/ 1/14/Smiling_dalmatian.jpg

"Tree Talk"
-Author Unknown
The heroine of this story is an eight-year-old girl in a Pennsylvania orphanage. She was painfully shy and had such annoying mannerisms that she was shunned by the other children and regarded as a problem child by the teachers. Two other orphanages had managed to have her transferred. Now, once again, the director was seeking some pretext for getting rid of her.
One afternoon it appeared that an opportunity had arrived. An ironclad rule held that any letter from a child in the institution had to be approved by the director or a housemistress before it could be mailed. The little girl had been observed sneaking down the main gate and carefully securing a letter in the branches of a tree that overhung the wall of the orphanage. The director could scarcely conceal her elation.
She hurried down to the brick wall. Sure enough, the note was visible through the branches of the tree. The director pounced on it and tore open the envelope. She pulled out the note and quickly read it. Stunned, she stood staring at the piece of paper, and then hung her head. It read:
To anybody who finds this: I love you.

:-) Wonder what everyone here thinks of the above piece? Look forward to hearing from you guys:-)
Oh Bea ..you are a sweetie .You always make me smile ! Especially when I see you in Q&P. You never let them get to you do you ? I don't know you keep your patience with some of 'em :))

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
The sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

Good luck with your endeavours .

Thanks Shaneystar2 :-) There is no point in letting a nitpicker or alleycat or fool get you down as you have to rise up above them/ it all like a phoenix + ignore any stupid comments;-) Always good to be the better person anyhow. Positivity plus patience is something try to practice regularly as it strengthens the character, makes you see everything in greater perspective + not only is good for you yet touches others with goodness. Bless you for your kind words ;-)

Here's a Celtic Blessing for you all :-)

Guiding Stars above you, Sunshine on your way, many friends to love you, Joy in work and play, Laughter to outweigh each care, In your heart a song, And gladness waiting everywhere All your whole life long!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hugs, Bea :-)
I think that is lovely Bea and surely there is a moral behind the story.
