Title of book - Train to Timbuctoo. Try Amazon.co.uk
It was a little golden book called From Kalamazoo to Timbuktu (from timbuktu and back a long long way a long long way a long way down the track.) I'm looking for a new copy of it too.
I greatly appreciate Misty Lady's comment.
Timbuktu is spelled Timbuctoo in the book's title.
That fact has kept me from finding this book for years.
Thank you again!
It's called the Train to Timbuctoo by Margaret Wise Brown. I had it when I was a kid and my mom gave it to me when I had my son. It's his favourite book! I'm including a link to the book on amazon.com as well. Media URL: http://www.amazon.com/Train-Timbuctoo-Family-Storytime/dp/0307102157
