Eyebrow threading

Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

So the heat has gone, hope it's gone for woofy too. We are getting much hotter from tomorrow!

Ooops I did it again! had a lovely time last night, so it's another quiet cool day inside. Even Mr N is "resting" it's the local drink Hierbas which does us in!

I did better with the names than the date and time, I love Louis & Alexander but I did doubt they'd be first names. I should have had a bet on.

Dull weather and seeing as I've just pegged out it's kindly decided to start spitting with rain.

You've all been very busy or sticky...in my case both. I've been trying to catch up on the domestic front, specially the washing/ironing. I feel like I've been kicked in the ribs so a lolling spell's required.

Good morning, we were going out this morning but there was a thunderstorm right overhead so I cuddled the panicky dogs instead. My steam mop has just broken so I will have to scrub the kitchen floor. Happily I got it from qvc so no quibble refund even though its 9 months old.....still the weather is nice, we have had some rain and sis arrives today so on balance it's all good.

Computer/broadband connection playing up big time. Have found you though. Will try to keep in touch, but when the broadband is there the computer is on a dreadful go slow and I have lost the will to keep logging on and off!!

Spanish tv and papers are now giving out warnings for the excessive heat which we are due here tomorrow - can't be doing with it, and I have to go to the dentist tomorrow!!

Scorching here again .That downpour did zilch really .Freshened it up for about ten minutes .I've done b all today .Just lounged under my brolly,reading in the shade .
The grockles here on holiday atm have certainly got their moneys worth with the weather .

I used to swim out to that wreck you can just see sticking up because of the low tide ......many moons ago !

Hello all. I've actually cleaned upstairs today and now need the hoover back downstairs to do that again.
Nipped to Sainsburys for a few bits. I went to the one where I used to work and saw 5 friends who are still thereso it took me about an hour to get out. But it was good to see them. One fo them had a walking stick and when I asked her what she had done thinking she had had a fall or something she told me she had MS. I was really shocked and sorry. She is very much younger than I am. Life doles out some rough deals doesn't it. Anyway she was just taking over on a till when I came away. Good on her!!

I've fel really warm today after what I thought was a fresh start.
I hope tonight it is a bit cooler in bed. It'll be all windows open upstairs again.

Jno your OH's occupation intrigues me....I know you will never tell us on here so I'll just have to keep imagining what he does :

I'm off to water my garden in a bit. When I say water it it wont be a big hose pipe job, more a watering can one aroung the plants and pots and my new tree I put in last year.

evenin each...turned out hot and sunny here too but I didn't do a lot of lolling or lol-ing, I carried on where I left off yesterday with the widow twankey impression. I swear Jude sneaked in and filled up my washer in the night.

That looks inviting shaney...if I went in there I'd be the wreck that people had to come out to, I can't swim :)

Neti that train crash in Spain is just awful...those poor people and their families.

I'd blame jno for the lack of broadband, she's had all the internet vaults in the world opened to search for dead ancestors. If she finds out she's related to me there could be a loud bang and a power surge as she slams all the doors.

Yes Robi that train crash is awful, silly driver! We have no trains on this island. When hija was 4 or 5 we were at the in-laws and we took her for a train ride, west sutton to Sutton, she was amazed. Then of course we had to do (several times) the Dockland express where there is no driver and so she sat right up the front like a driver would, and the guard let hija made the announcements! Better than any theme park (and cheaper!)

Have you heard about these dangerous iphones? One dead using it when plugged in, and 2 others getting burnt, sticking to my cheap and cheerful one.

Shaney, I could never in a millions years swim that far, I am very nervous of water, would love to be able to leap in a pool but can't.

When fil was bodyguard to James Callaghan, they were going through an airport and security person started to frisk mr Callaghan, and fil said "Who do you think you are searching?" then he added, "and if you search me, you'll get a shock"

and in the early days he was put in a CND parade to spot troublemakers and of course he had to blend in, later when whoever was looking at the photos the pointed to fil and "he looks dodgy, keep your eye on that one"

Yes we mustn't grumble really when you see the awful things that happen on the news .
Ha...for two pins I would wend my way down to the sea and lay in the water but I'll have to make do with a cold slosh down and lay on the bed .There's a breeze through upstairs . It's 28C here in the kitchen with all the windows open .
