Anyone else feel the job of being a Grandma is probably the most tiring yet the most rewarding?

I was up early this morning, took my 7 year old Grandson (and his dad [my son],and my daughter, [his Auntie]) to the bowling alley for his 7th Birthday party, 11 screaming kids, banging music and flashing lights, and it was only 10.30!

By 12.30 i was a quivering wreck! Then we all went to watch X Men 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I managed to get about ten minutes kip during the ads at the start!

My grandson has just said that was the bestest birthday he has ever ever had, i couldn't respond as my life support machine was changing batteries!

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I look after my grandson who is 3 four days in the week and recharge my batteries the other 3 but I wouldn't have it any other way it is so rewarding and each time my grandson comes, to see him running up my path to greet me it is all worth it .Enjoy them as they grow up too quick .
Totally agree Dot, just got home from grandson's 2nd birthday party. I'm going to bed now.
being Grandma is the best 'cos you get to give them back ! my favourite trip as a grandma was to Disney Florida, where I became a kid again, wore the Minnie ears, and sang so loudly at Mickie's party that they moved away from me. Enjoyed it so much I now go to Vegas [minus kids] because thats like Disney for grown ups.Its exhausting but you get so much out of being a grandma, plus you now have more money to spend than you did when your kids were small.Enjoy every minute because the great grand kids are just around the corner !
