bleached roots

i need to bleach my roots im thinking of just doing my parting as im a bit short of money what with it being xmas and all that, i have to use bleach as my hair is quite red and takes quite a lot to lighten what strength bleach should i use? this question to any hairdressers out there.

i would use the 12% volume and put a bit in each week if you use the highest volume or put to much on it will ruin your hair

you know what? you're braver than me!

if you havn't got the money to go the hairdressers yet then why not buy one of them highlighting kits - the kind that eva longoria *SP?* from desperate housewives advertises? and just subtly change the roots - if you mess up and it is SO easy to mess up with bleach then its gonna cost even more!

or better still just leave your hair until you can afford to get your roots done, i'm sure another month wont make all that difference?
