St Tropez Tan

Hi, im probably going to sound a bit dumb...but here goes.
Ive been bought a voucher for a St Tropez tan for the local salon, but i'm a bit nervous. Im a shy person and dont feel comfortable taking my clothes off in front of strangers! Do i have to be sat there totally naked? Its a salon i go in for most of my beauty treatments, so i dont really want them seeing all my inperfections (how vain am i! lol) can anyone tell me how is it done? I have no idea of what happens or anything so im a bit wary and keep putting it off. But i feel awful when my friend keeps asking me if ive booked it yet!

Is it a spray tan or a rub on one?

I've had both done, and in both cases just wore big pants (girl boxers from topshop) but you could always wear a strapless bra if you are self conscious.

I was a bit nervous too but just kept telling myself that they've seen worse!

If you let me know which type of tan it is I can give you more advice about what it is like

I have no idea to be honest, i would presume its rub on cuz im sure there is no room in the salon for a spray one. That would be ideal i guess so noone sees you. So do they go around your underwear then? Any help would be a great help. Thanks!! xx

wear ur normal clothes with big pants on underneath, the beautician will show you into the room where they do it then leave for a few minutes so you can take your clothes off, bra usually comes off as well, don't worry, if they do bikini waxing (as most salons do) theyve seen worse! She'll come back in and get going. Think thats about right anyway!

Hi I work in a beauty and hair salon -PLease dont feel like this! any beautician does not see it as a naked/semi-naked person stood in front of them, they see a body they need to tan nothing else, they will be concentrating too hard to even start looking at you!! and remember, any imperfections you see will be multiplied in your own mind way more than they will be seen to anyone else!

I have been for some spray tans and i ususaly just wear a thong. The first time i went i was so nervous i was shaking but i had to go through with it as i was going to a wedding. Within minutes of arriving the beautician made me feel totaly at ease and we ended up having a good chat whilst the tan was done. I have since been back loads of times. Dont worry about it. You will feel great when you have had it done!!!!

Yeah when i got it done they just went around my underwear. i went topless but you could wear a strapless bra if you can't face that!

Right ok thanks. Stil feel really nervous about it, i dont know if ill ever go and book it! ill probably just chicken out, silly i know but cant see myself going through with it. Well well see what happens, and if any special events are coming up ill tell myself ive got to get it done. Thanks for all your comments!
