I have heard many people on here mention 'bio oil' as a treatment which improves the look of stretch marks and scars and helps prevent any new marks from looking so bad. What you need to look at is why the stretch marks are happening. My partner has some which are from his teenage 'growth spurt' and a friend has some really bad ones after becoming bulimic and shedding lots of weight rapidly, and the most obvious ones are associated with pregnancy. Can you think why they have occurred on your arms?
I am also looking for a cure, your not alone. I am 20 years old and i have them all over my stomach, which has made me so insecure, i won't wear bikini's or short t-shirts because of it. I have been also told of Bio-oil which you can get from pharmicists for about 8 a tube - a bit expensive i know but i will try it and let you know!
Good luck!
Good luck!
Palmer's also do a lotion for stretch marks, made from coconut oil I think, but I suspect it's more to prevent rather than cure them.
Elicina cream is, I have been told, good for scars and lines (OK wrinkles) and is supposed to help with stretch marks as well - do a Google serach for "snail cream", but be warned, it isn't cheap !

Bio Oil and Palmer's Cocoa Butter (as used by the likes of Pamela Anderson during pregnancy to keep scars at bay) are sworn by by many people - mainly based on the theory that they keep the skin supple and prevent more marks appearing. If the marks are stil new (and, therefore, red) you could try using a concealer (looks like a lipstick tube of foundation and you can get it in most supermarkets in the toiletries section if you want to slyly sling it into your trolley!) to cover them up on nights out - just be sure to blend well! If they have faded to the silvery colour (which they all do eventually, thank God!) then fake tan is fab at evening out the skin tone and hiding the stretch marks - just apply the fake tan all over, as per the instructions. Hope this helps.
Hi ,
I have always had pretty bad stretch marks around my belly region ever since I gave birth to my three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but it didn't seem to work. My Doctor had even suggested a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. My stretch marks disappeared in 3 weeks. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below.
