i need a name of a reapair shop or the name of cable required. Its not too much to ask surely

Send them back to GHD and they will send you a new pair - there was a time when they were experiencing problems with the straightners and if they exploded or became dangerous through no fault of your own then they would replace them - I would say phone up GHD and get the address to send them back then look forward to a brand spanking new pair!!

Contact GHD directly, chriscroz. They'll send you out a free Special Delivery bag for you to send them back in. Don't get your hopes up for getting a new pair in exchange, though. I also needed a new cable, sent them back and was told that it was classed as wear and tear(!), although they were just outside their guarantee. I was told they would cost over �50 to repai or I could have �30 off a pair of new ones (the Mk4 version).

My friend's GHDs set alight and they still only offered to repair them for free!

you can buy a new cable off POKERX7 on ebay its a brand new replacement and cost �22 in total fits perfect and my straighteners look brand new now
