You shouldn't really use scrubs more than 2 times per week. Try using a good anti ageing moisturiser on a daily basis after your bath or shower. If you feel you want to slough off dead skin cells, maybe use one of those massage sponges, which has a soft side and an abrasive side, but don't scrub too hard.
Drink plenty of water, keep out of the sun and maybe try skincare supplements. Nourkin is supposed be good, but it's expensive.

Exfoliating gloves (from the Body Shop or Boots) are the best beauty invention ever. They look like normal gloves but are made of a rough material. You just use them in the shower or bath with your normal showergel and can scrub as hard or as gently as your skin needs. They only cost a few quid and last for years - I put mine in the wash every week to keep them fresh. Saves a fortune in body scrubs and doesn't leave that horrible gritty scum in your bath afterwards!
Clinique do a very gentle one.
Boots Botanics also do a mature skin range, not sure if they do a scrub they their stuff is fantastic, I use the oily sensitive skin range.
They do do a cleansing body scrub and have a buy one get one half price offer on at the moment on Botanics and always worth checking Boots card offers in the machine as they often have extra offers on.
I have a little oval exfoliator, just larger than the size of my hand which has a strap on the back which is great, especially on your legs. Think I got it from Bodycare or somewhere like that.

My mature (70yo) friend complained of flakey 'lizard' legs & not being able to either scrub it off or moisturise away. So I made her a scrub out of olive oil & salt. (mostly salt, but 'wet' with oil) Coarser grains, like in sea salt, give a rougher scrub. The finer the salt, like table salt, the more gentle the scrub. Rub in thoroughly then wash off with soap, body wash or baby shampoo as prefered. She loved it. Admire your nice smooth legs! Enjoy!
