I have started to leave my long, naturally curly hair curly sometimes, as it just takes so long to straighten it and keep it looking sleek, when the children are off school. I have been using the John Freida Frizz ease mousse, which defines the curls beautifully but it leaves the hair with a wet-look, which I am not overkeen on. Has anyone found a mousse for curly hair, which defines the curl, without stickiness and without leaving it with a wet-look?

Try Rusk Sheer shine from your local salon.

I don't recommend mousse for curly hair unless you want more volume?

I definitely don't need any more volume!! I just need no frizz I suppose. Do you have a better recommendation than mousse. Any ideas are welcome. x
I said I DONT recommend mousse.

Use a light conditioner (for natural hair) to untangle knots. Finish styling with the Rusk sheer shine;(it's a light oil that is spread on hands and 'wiped' thru hair). Dont brush or comb ur hair just run ur fingers thru it to get the 'definition' look.
I use Aussie range Dual Mousse for Curl and Volume (or Definition) and just scrunch then leave to dry naturally. It leaves your hair shiny and soft rather than crunchy like some mousse does. They also do a serum as well as shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Good luck!
Like you, I have naturally thick curly hair and since I discovered Frizz Ease Dream Curls spray I very rarely straighten my hair. It depends on what your routine is but when I wash my hair, I towel dry it then brush it all over the front of my head with a wide tooth comb. I then spray the Dream Curls on, brush through again then scrunch up my hair and shake it out a bit. I then flip my head back and run my fingers through my hair to tidy it up a bit. My hair dries beautifully with minimum frizz and the curls are lovely and bouncy.

Give it ago and see what you think!
Hi Le Chat. Just checked the Aussie mousse again - it's called Dual Personality Curl Defining and Shine Mousse. They don't do a shampoo and conditioner though - I was thinking about the Toni and Guy range who make one. Cheers. :-)
I like Shockwaves mousse - there's a special one for curly hair and I find it's really good.

You can use it on dry hair as well, really helps to define curls and prevent frizz but doesn't leave it looking wet.
