There are lots of products available in most high street chemists/department stores for controlling oily skin.See your doctor about medication to get rid of the acne.
having tried absolutely everthing out there and spent vast quantities of money, often the best solution is the simplest. i currently use the body shop's tea tree skin regime and take erythromycin (a low level antibiotic available from your gp) and my skin is the best it has ever been. most expensive stuff is a complete waste of time and tea tree is antibiotic and helps control oil. good luck and don't spend a fortune x
Be glad for oily skin.....once controlled,it will keep your skin younger looking in your later years with fewer wrinkles.
Do not used oil based products for your skin for a start such as moisturiser, use an oil free one. I went on a course of tablets (i forget what they were called) where I had to go to the Hospital every month for a check up on it as they are meant to make you depressed and people have commited suicide on them! I didnt get depressed, but they dried my skin out majorly and my lips were dry all the time, it wasnt the best but this was the last resort after trying things from the doctor he referred me to the Hospital for this treatment. So the moral of the story is, if it bothers you that much, go to your Doctor. The things he can give you may even work for you.

That actually isn't true Pasta :(
My doctors always used to tell me that in my teens...I had really bad acne and still have outbreaks now aged 41.
When I said to my doc a few years ago that I had been told the oily skin would make me less wrinkly as I age,he said that all doctors tell their patients that to make them feel better about their skin, and that it isn't remotely true. I would rather have been told the truth in the first place!!!
daffy...I am 61...with very few wrinkles.....folk are surprised when they learn my age.
You obviously have good genetics in your family pasta :)
I have definitely got the same amount of wrinkles as the average woman of my age. I wish the myth about oily skin keeping you young looking was true, but it really isn't.
it may be any combination of factors daffy.....thanks for the info x
I am with stonekicker on this one, tea tree oil is just brilliant for oily skin. Cleanse twice a day though and keep your hands away from your face. whatever you do keep away from any doctor prescribing roaccutane treatment, what they do not tell you is that you should not get pregnant during treatment or for two years after.
