Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

I used to have a variety of liqueurs that I would sometimes have after meals but gradually I began to find them all a bit acid. Baileys isn't, so that's why I like it (though I've never liked it iced as some people do). I think Drambuie is the other one that isn't.

<<<slaps neti on head>>>.... any excuse will do :o)
Oh dear, have you all gone dypso? All I've got is a cup of tea & a pretty weak one at that, I was in a hurry.
Lovely story & another lovely coat Lottie...keep buying them, it might mean we have the mildest winter ever. :o)
Oh shaney what a £$%^&#~!! I'd be livid, how can they do this to people who've waited so long? I really hope it all comes good..I'll order a brand new bed at once.
...And while I'm at it I'll order a big fat win for Jude for tonight. Enjoy the footie Jude & don't be sad, you certainly aren't selfish...
If I don't refer to everyone in person please don't take it personally, I get to you all eventually I hope.
For anyone feeling left out...<give it a sec>

When we were in America about 20 years ago, it was deeply difficult and wine was cheap as chips. I was younger then and I seriously think that the only thing that stopped me getting seriously out of control was the need to drive. When I am not stressed, quite a small amount of alcohol is enough but stress seems to increase my physical tolerance and I have to start watching it a bit.

I had a friend, an Englishman, who lived in LA. He went out to lunch with some Hollywood biggishwigs; they all had a glass of white wine with his meal, and since they were staying on and chatting, he ordered another glass. They all looked at him in horror and one of them said, er, do you have a, er, *problem* with alcohol? Chris, who does not have a problem with alcohol, thought this was hilarious but a bit creepy.
Rushed in to wish Mr S good luck and now having read the thread, good luck with a bed too. That is so ridiculous, scheduling an op and not making sure there is a bed!
My drinking days are long gone. I'll share a bottle of wine with a litre of water on Sunday with Mr N, otherwise that'll it. I am a puritan!! <<smirks>>. I gave up drinking at home when hija was about 3, cos if there was an emergency I would have to drive her to hospital, still the same now until we get an addy no ambulance can find us! and I remember once i was completely in my cups (we'd been to a party) and went to sleep in spare room (we had one at the time) with a bucket and hija came in and tucked her teddy next to me, I felt so ashamed, so that was that.
Different when I am in Eastbourne, we hit the bottle (wine) every night about 6 and I am fine, no effects and no hangover.

Good morning Biddyfriends. I'm fine today and so sorry. Like Robi says yes we are all included in this brilliant friendship and I'm sorry I stirred things a bit, I promise it wont happen again. Sooooo pleeeeease don't think you have to mention me everytime I put a post on.
Anyway All the best Mr S. at the Hospital. I hope there is a bed available. I think they should have let you know by now if there wasn't.
I'm off to meet my friend to go to Chesterfield on the bus. Using our passes. I haven't been for ages so I'm looking forward to seeing it and how it's changed and taking a photo of the twisted tower.
I think my older sis thinks I'm getting a bit over used to the Baileys but I'm not. I have one now and again not every day even. But you all enjoy your tipples nothing wrong in it. I have in the past. I used to drink Whisky Macs but since I've taken to doing all the driving - not any more.
Have a good day See yer later 'gater(s)

oh, I hadn't heard of the twisted tower, Jude, but I see Wiki lists it with the leaning tower of Pisa
http://en.wikipedia.o...ist_of_leaning_towers
bit harsh putting it alongside that NZ hotel that was knocked sideways by the earthquake though.

Good morning Biddies.
Glad you are feeling more upbeat today Jude. Enjoy your day (you have probably already gone!)
Hope they have found a bed for Mr S, Shaney and that all goes well.
I am off with dog shortly, raining or not. Poor Megs is raring to go as has only been out in the garden over the last two or three days, rather than being taken out - and she's an extremely energetic dog (unlike her Mum).
She has found a laundry ball (one of those spiky things that you put in the tumble drier) and it's now a coveted new toy which I haven't the heart to take away from her. She is busy chasing that and Alice Cat round the house at present!!
See you later.

Morning to each and every one of you!...so glad I got to see your post before I toddle off shaney and all the very best for Mr s today. I was wide awake at 5am and thought of you.
I'm like you re alcohol woofy, I don't drink and after one glass of wine I can feel it in my arms (apparently it's a fibro intolerance thing)...but if I'm stressed it doesn't touch me. Well the last time I tried it it didn't. I don't think I'll try again, I'll just worry instead...and take imodium...like now. I'm off to have my mini mammo's grammed & in the grand scheme of things it's buffer all, certainly nothing on a par with what poor mr s has in store today.
Back later I hope...please have a pump ready to re inflate.
