Since attaining the great age of half a century only a few months ago, I have developed new symptoms such as - dyspepsia & heartburn. My heart problem seems to be recurring. My back is easily put out, my ankle took 3 months to heal from a minor injury, I have a constant headache & stuffed sinuses.

Are there any actual benefits to getting older???????

Probably not these days as everyone gets so obsessed with age i.e. "it's the end of everything to be 50" or "I am never going to give in to age" and everyone has to go overboard on all the "Big 'O'" birthdays. I am 75 this year and so happy to be still here and enjoying life with the seven grandchildren and all my friends.Yes, I am single and I do have some mobility problems, but am happy to have a love life (when we can find a free day together) and, having known him for over 50 years, I find we can have a wonderful stress free relationship. In fact, the best thing about getting old is the great number of friends one has accumulated. Bless them all - and all you "old" (not!) ABers too. You are alive! forget your ages!! Get living....
Its better than dying young whatever the Who said.
