prescribed confidence medication

Hi

I have a really big day coming up where I'm going to be the centre of attention and have to talk in front of a lot of people........which I am not used to.

I am going to see my GP about it, but before hand I thought I'd ask on here to see if there is any prescribed medication around to give you confidence......or to give you an 'i don't care attitude' if that makes sense..........or am i just clutching at straws here?

If you started by saying something like: 'I'm not used to speaking in public and I'm finding this something of an ordeal.' you would get your listeners 'on your side'.
You'd also be admitting to yourself that's what it is. You know you'll find it difficult but you'll cope with it.
