Yes.

An apple fell on his head, and he discovered gravity from it.

Which is total bs, and was used to cover up the fact that he was heavily involved in the occult and he tried to use this to discover and explain lots of stuff.

yes, he had eleven toes, and only one testicle (the left one was lost in a terrible incident involving a pony and a rainy day)

ohh, FACTs. oops.

He was a bad tempered reclusive gay alchemist astrologer who tried to make things work by magic. Or that's what I read on the Internet somewhere.

Not far from it! not too sure about the gay.

He also fought tooth and nail with Robert Hooke who was the first president of the Royal society - later when Newton Became president after Hooke's death Hookes notebooks and portrait mysteriously vanished.

I think there was some trouble with Leibnitz over who invented Calculus.

He famously stuck a needle in his eye to see what would happen.

Generally not the sort of person you'd want to spend too much social time with - not that Newton ever spent much social time with anybody.

But he did have a tough childhood, his father died before he was born and his mother sent him off to live with his Grandmother - he was a weak child and not expected to live long (but he did until he was 84 which was pretty ancient then)

Admission: I made up the gay bit!
It is thought that he died a virgin.
He was an MP, and his only recorded utterance was a request to open a window!

well well i can't so bad myself then it seems that all brainy people r a bit nuts then i am releived must say i find i have a few things in comon with issac (and that few does not include the gay mind u) hehe.

well to make this answer more useful i suggest u  try www.wikipedia.org that has a wealth of info and more than likely his whole life

He's reputed to have invented the cat flap when he got fed up of having to get up to let his cat in and out of the house.

yeah, he invented the cat flap for his cat called....diamond I think

The cat knocked over a candle and spoilt some of his papers at which Newton exclaimed - Oh Diamond thou little knowest what thou hast done!

(Note cute use of 2 nd person singular - which dropped out of English about twenty years later)

Diamond sprogged liddle kitties - and Newton cut a smaller cat flap for the kitten

That's enough krayzee kittie stories - Ed

he lived with his grandmother. he kept a idary of experiments as a child. for instance, he would do a standing jump into the wind, then one away from it, record the distances then write down an explanation for his results. he rather invented gravity which pleased the world as they were tired of floating into space at the most inconvenient times. his laws of physics (newtonian physics) were discovered after his interest in why objects always fall downwards. he then borrowed 3 (three) maths books from his local university and taught himself the latest and greatest maths ideas. it is from this that he managed to conjure his laws of gravity. genius? maybe
He may have had Asperger's syndrome (high functioning autism) and if no-one turned up to hear him lecture, he gave the lecture anyway, to an empty lecture theatre (or so I've read)
