Hi Dennisb66
Had my prostate removed two years ago due to cancer and was fortunate enough to have Robotic surgery (DaVinci method - you can Google it). Went into hospital on the Monday am, op in the pm, home on Wednesday lunchtime. The surgeon came to see me on the Tues morning and said I could go home then or stay another night - I opted for the extra night. No major pain to mention just discomfort. (I had GA by the way). Having the robotic surgery decreases the chance of loss of erection and incontinence, however, I had minor incontinence for a couple of weeks but nothing to write home about. All ok now. I had to have 7 weeks of radiotherapy in Jan/Feb of last year as my PSA reading was 0.3 after the op, not 0.0 as they wanted. I still see the Urologist and oncologist twice a year for check ups (My PSA before surgery was 13.9 !!) Apart from what I've said everything is fine and I have no regrets whatsoever. Hope all goes well and if you want any more info etc just re-post on here - I'll keep an eye out.
Good luck
