Yes sandy, my guess is that the two are connected.
Well established that nicotine can cause headaches and may even trigger migraine.
Are you a non smoker? Giving up? Having a relapse?

I would have thought the nicotine could give you a head rush if you haven't smoked for a while.

The first cigs after a long absence always (to me anyway) always did that, in fact they made me dizzy too.

I ran out of my Niquitine tablets, and while I haven't smoked for yonks, I'm clearly still addicted to nicotine.
I wonder how the troops survived the trenches without their Woodbines.

Plautus, they mostly didn't have to. My Dad died of lung cancer and I remember him saying that in the war (WW2) there were always cigs even if there wasn't food or a drink.
