Roughly - on average how long does it take for your food to pass through your body?
For instance I had porridge at 8am and a mandarin at approx 10.30 - will I have 'passed' that now?

One more thing
Shouldn't three meals a day require three 'visits'?
LOL...depends upon what you eat........
According to wiki...up to 72hours. Most of that is through the colon.

Transit time

The time taken for food or other ingested objects to transit through the gastrointestinal tract varies depending on many factors, but roughly, it takes 2.5 to 3 hours after a meal for 50% of stomach contents to empty into the intestines and total emptying of the stomach takes 4 to 5 hours. Subsequently, 50% emptying of the small intestine takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Finally, transit through the colon takes 30 to 40 hours.[9]
It varies from person to person. If we eat sweetcorn with our evening meal then for me it appears the next morning, however my other half doesn't see it until the following day, if you see what I mean :)
