I have wear and tear arthritis do you think using a cross trainer 3 times a week would do my joints anymore damage?

I prefer to do yoga than to get on any type of exercise equipment. While many yoga positions don't look like they would do much, try one and see how much you can really feel the burn!
Totally agree but as a Yoga tutor I would, wouldn't I?....
Don't know about the damage side of things, but I think any extra movement/exercise that you can do must surely be a benefit, as long as its not too strenuous and you don't overdo it.
I an registered disabled, arthritis in most of my joints, really bad in my spine, also got osteoporosis and had a stroke ( ready for the knackers yard, ha )
Bought myself a treadmill, most I can manage at any one time is about 45 to 50 steps, but I try to walk a mile a week on it.
Don't know if it does me any good, but it certainly doesn't seem to do me any harm, and its a bit of a challenge every week.
I do work aswell, but have a taxi door to door, and sat down working so I think the treadmill does me some good. X
Meant to say, I did try a cross trainer before the treadmill but was to difficult.
I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and osteopenia (my bones are thinning). Both my GP and Rheumotologist have suggested walking and other weight bearing exercises and gym work.
I have been told that I should try some easy yoga poses for my arthritis. I would prefer to do that, than get on any type of workout machines. I don't think my joints can stand the impact.
