I have very dry skin, when I rub my legs and arms it come off like fine dusty dandruff, and if I wear anything black the inside of the garment is just covered with it when I undress, is there anything I can use in the shower that will help with this problem? my skin does not itch, advice please.

Maybe something emollient like oilatum or aqueous cream used as a soap.

Gentle body brushing before a shower could also help.
Also, try patting yourself dry and a bit of airdrying (may need some heating on cold mornings though!) rather than rougher towel rubbing dry. Just make sure important bits are dry.

Then a good quality lasting moisturiser.

If you have any baths, I've found oatmeal lovely in it, I just stick some porridge oats in a bit of old tights and put it under the tap then squeeze all the oaty stuff out of it.

Thanks Eve, sadly I can no longer get in and out of the bath, I did'nt know aqueous cream could be used for washing, so maybe I'll give that a try.
dont have shower too hot, exfoliate in shower with body shop body scrub, then use aqueous cream after drying
Might be a good idea to take a vitamin for dry skin, treat the inside instead of the outside! perhaps something like Omega 3? There's nothing worse than the wrong hand cream that makes your hands feel drier than before you put the cream on ... horrible feeling!
I have this problem unless I use really rich moisturiser all over every time I bathe. The body butters from the Body Shop are good and not too pricey.

Thank you, more ideas for me to try, I like the vitamin idea, never thought of treating the outside from inside, will try that as well.
