Really Poor Flexibility On My Left Side
4 Answers
Hi, I have been trying to get fitter in my late years (better late than never!) but I have really poor flexibility on my left side - I cannot cross my left leg over my right, and if I try to sit on my left leg its just impossible. I know I had a pelvic torsion on the left side many years ago, but is this likely to be causing problems again? I have been trying Pilates but am struggling still. Any ideas of specific exercises I can try to improve my flexibility? Cheers

They can assess what is postural, what is tight tissue and what else is going on, then help you move on from there. Try and find one who works with the Alexander Technique. have a google about it as well, there are quite a few Youtube vids.
Get checked over by a good physio. If it is muscular have a look at this Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
It was recommended to Oh for a tight IT band (hip to knee) by NHS physio at local hospital. He has found that it works brilliantly, really painful to start with but as it works the pain eases off. The physio will tell you how to use it.
