My mother suffers from this. Doctor not really that understanding.
After advice such as would antibiotic therapy be helpful?
It says to increase the PH of the urine so does this mean drinking orange juice etc.
They also mention using an anaesthetic gel, has anyone tried this?
Mother diabetic though only diet only.
Any advice would be appreciated!!

Yes, increasing the pH of urine may well help...oranges and bananas.
I will give it some thought over the next 24 hours, but this is a difficult problem and the advice that you have been given is correct.
I am assuming that the diagnosis has been made by a Consultant Urologist.
