Shaving Stick

My grandson is just began shaving...I got thinking about when my father shaved and nicked himself...sticking bits of paper on his face..but I seem to recall something about a white chalk-like stick in a case something like a lipstick one.which was used to stop the bleeding.
This is going back some 50 years...anyone else remember these????

A Styptic pencil, bought one in Tesco's about a year ago.

You had better warn your grandson that these styptic thingys sting !
Yes you can still get them easy enough but you may need to warn him that he may hit the roof when he uses it, they sting like hell lol!!!

Sting...!!! You poor men, my heart bleeds for you ;-)
sharp blades and a steady hand should avoid nicks, though it's probably tougher if his face is spotty. In that case go for an electric razor.
I'd definitely advise an inexpensive electric razor for a youngster...I've never used anything else. Well, I have an expensive one now..!
