I am in early 60's , like to walk, healthy appetite, reasonably good health.
I have had a yearly test for my lack of iron, vitimin A and 24 hour monitor for HBP taken. Awaiting results.
I suffer with depression and anxiety, and Osteopenia due to broken bones, but I function all the same normally with work etc.
I have such tiredness and exhaustion that it is affecting my life, really quite badly. Doctors have not come up with anything.
Any one have any ideas ?
I found that I was anaemic and this was making me tired and breathless. I am not attempting to make any reccomendations to you though as what the doctor says when you have your test results should help. I found that a daily Omega 3 supplement took away any anxiety I was experiencingl As we are the same age I feel concerned for you. Do you have trouble sleeping?
I find that depression and anxiety basically make you sleepy/tired, especially if you have other symptoms; it's quite a tiring/draining mentality to have so perhaps addressing (counselling maybe if not already doing so or forcing yourself to do something you know you enjoy but think you lack energy for) these issues will help clear the fog a bit.
Been on anti dep most of my adult life. I sleep like a log.
I am seeing a Councillor and she said I should do some research myself and go back to see the doctor and tell her it is chronic tiredness I have.
Thyroid was tested last year and ruled out.
Taking Ad Cal for the vitamin A deficiancy I had and the bone density.
I also had tests (a Spiro something or other that you blow into) x twice, and they said I had mild asthma/empercemia, that has not got any worse in a year.
