I've got a large pork joint in the oven right now , there will be plenty of dripping for my OH to eat on toast with a lot of salt.

Can't buy proper old-fashioned dripping these days - it has to be 'refined' before being sold, i.e., all that wonderful flavour has disappeared.

Why feel guilty eating cheese, pastry, dripping, lard etc.

If you have have a well balanced diet why the need to exclude any of those things?
