Discomfort After Mammogram

Went for one yesterday, just an 'invitation to take up as you've reached that age'
(gee, thanks!)
Anyhoo, since the right breast took 3 attempts to x-ray have since been in discomfort, not in the breast, just the chest area around it and the right shoulder.
I've just strained the muscles a bit, I think.
Has anyone else suffered similarly?

mags22, I'm 66 and still have regular mammograms .It's offered to all women up until the age of 70 ( in England ) and is being extended in some areas until you are 73 .Even after that age you can still have one .Your GP is obliged to send you if you ask for one .

I have rather large bazookas - I wonder if that makes the procedure easier to carry out? The nurse didn't have any problem getting me into the correct position.
